About GlassByFredo

The story behind the glass.

Meet Fredo

Fredo is a glass artist driven by a deep love for the craft. What started as curiosity quickly became a calling — shaping molten glass into one-of-a-kind pieces that blur the line between art and function.

Every piece is made by hand, from start to finish. No molds, no shortcuts. Just fire, breath, and a steady hand. The result is glass art that feels alive — full of color, movement, and personality.

Based in the studio, Fredo works with a small collection of tools and an endless supply of ideas. Whether it's a sculptural vase or an intricate pendant, each creation is a conversation between the artist and the material.

The Craft

From raw materials to finished art — a process shaped by heat, timing, and instinct.

01

Gather & Heat

Raw glass is heated in a furnace to over 2,000°F until it becomes a glowing, molten gather on the end of a blowpipe. This is where every piece begins.

02

Shape & Blow

Using breath, gravity, and hand tools, the molten glass is shaped into form. Color is added through layered glass powders and frit, fused in the heat.

03

Anneal & Finish

The finished piece is slowly cooled in an annealing kiln over several hours to relieve internal stress. Once cool, it's inspected, polished, and ready.

Philosophy

Every piece of glass has a mind of its own. The best work happens when the artist stops fighting the material and starts listening to it.

GlassByFredo is built on a simple belief: handmade things carry meaning that mass-produced objects never will. Each imperfection is a signature. Each variation is proof that a human made it.

That's why every piece in the collection is truly one of a kind. When it's gone, it's gone.
